Biometric Data Security

Last updated: October 2026

Our principle: your body stays yours

Arca uses your device's camera to understand your alignment and transitions. We designed the system so that this analysis serves your practice, and nothing else.

On-device analysis first

Pose and movement analysis runs on your device wherever possible. The video stream from your camera is processed in real time and is not recorded or stored as video.

What is actually kept

What remains after a session are abstract movement measurements: things like joint angles, transition timing and stability scores. These numbers cannot be used to reconstruct an image of you.

We never build a biometric template that identifies who you are. Arca recognizes poses, not people.

How it is protected

Any session data that leaves your device is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to operate and improve the guidance features you use.

Your control

You can delete your session history and movement data at any time from within the app, or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.

Camera access is always optional. Arca only analyzes movement while a guided session is active and you have granted permission.
